India has registered 4,14,188 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours. The ten states including Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Karnataka, Kerala, Bihar, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Rajasthan have reported 71.81% of the new cases. Maharashtra has reported the highest daily new cases at 62,194. It is followed by Karnataka with 49,058 while Kerala reported 42,464 new cases.
India’s total Active Caseload has reached 36,45,164. It now comprises 16.96% of the country’s total Positive Cases. A net incline of 78,766 cases recorded from the total active caseload in the last 24 hours.
The twelve states cumulatively account for 81.04% of India’s total Active Cases.
The active cases constitute 16.96% of the total cases while Recoveries are more than 81.95%. The National Mortality Rate has been falling and currently stands at 1.09%.
About 3,915 deaths were reported in the last 24 hours, though there has been widespread media reports that the actual numbers are not reflecting in the government data.
The ten states account for 74.48% of the new deaths. Maharashtra saw the maximum casualties (853). Uttar Pradesh follows with 350 daily deaths.
The Four States/UTs that have not reported any COVID19 deaths in the last 24 hours are D&D & D&N, Arunachal Pradesh, Ladakh (UT) and Mizoram.
