Shares of Biocon NSE -1.03 % (up 3.12 per cent), Sun Pharmaceutical NSE -2.10 % Industries (up 2.17 per cent), Dr Reddys Laboratories (up 2.0 per cent), Aurobindo Pharma NSE -2.30 % (up 1.89 per cent) and Cadila Healthcare NSE -2.56 % (up 1.23 per cent) were among the top gainers.
While Divis Laboratories (down 0.69 per cent) was the sole loser in the index. The Nifty Pharma index was trading 1.25 per cent up at 11546.4 around 01:59PM.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 15.50 points at 11550.5, while the BSE Sensex was up 2.08 points at 39088.11. Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 29 were trading in the green, while 21 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, Tata Motors, YES Bank, Zee Ent. and Bharti Infratel were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Adani Green Energy Ltd., Max Healthcare Institute Ltd., Hathway Cable, Tata Consumer Products and Tube Investments of India Ltd. hit their fresh 52 week high in today’s trade, while Aaron Industries Ltd., Kuantum Papers Ltd. and Twentyfirst Century Management Services Ltd. hit fresh 52 week low in trade.

While Aurobindo Pharma NSE -2.30 % (down 4.38 per cent), Sun Pharmaceutical NSE -2.10 % Industries (down 4.26 per cent), Alkem Laboratories NSE -2.45 % (down 3.6 per cent), Divis Laboratories (down 3.03 per cent) and Cadila Healthcare NSE -2.56 % (down 2.85 per cent) were the top losers in the index.
The Nifty Pharma index was trading 2.9 per cent down at 11285.65 around 01:06PM.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 128.10 points at 11519.5, while the BSE Sensex was down 398.42 points at 39068.89. Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 10 were trading in the green, while 40 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Future Retail Ltd., Tata Motors and SBI were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
