India has secured the third position globally in the Ipsos Quality of Care Perception Index 2026, with 68% of Indians rating healthcare quality positively. However, affordability remains a major concern.
India has ranked third globally for healthcare quality perceptions, following Malaysia and Singapore, according to the Ipsos Quality of Care Perception Index 2026. The report highlights public confidence in India’s healthcare system, easy access to medical appointments and pharmacies, while also pointing to concerns over rising healthcare costs.
Ipsos, a global market research company, surveyed 32 countries to understand how people view the quality, accessibility and affordability of healthcare services. The findings are based on public perceptions, not direct measurements of health outcomes or actual access to treatment.
